About Altered Perceptions
Altered Perceptions was self-published in March 2006 and
subsequently released by Unlimited
Publishing in January 2007. The book briefly traces our historic views of and interactions
with water as a means of providing a backdrop for contemporary water crises.
The book also examines ways that we postmodern Westerners might alter our
perceptions of water and, in doing so, the actions and reactions that serve
to create and sustain these crises. Altered
Perceptions was written
for a nontechnical audience and as a companion to West's
first book, Universal
Water, which is a more technical exploration of water. As a scientist,
consultant, and educator, DL 'West' Marrin is the founder of Water
Sciences & Insights (watersciences.org),
which serves as a web-based, interactive, and live multimedia forum for
presenting people with diverse theories, insights, and perspectives on
water. To access information on his lectures, broadcasts,
and consulting services, please visit the Water Sciences & Insights
